Margery-Colburn

December 12, 1776

Dear Journal,

Well it is now December and the American Revolution is still going on, but Mathew and I hope that it is over soon. Well we have waited quite sometime since we said we were going to get married today because we have decided that it is now time to get married and have a little ceremony with our closest friends attending. We are planning to get married in a small church around our house we thought the better the sooner because I am expecting a baby girl and she is going to be born in like a couple of months. My fiancé and I have been doing pretty good so far even though we do get into fights sometimes for no reason and it hurts me sometimes, but other than that everything is going good. I finally got my major in nursing like two months ago and I am an official nurse right now and I am also working at the best hospital in Maryland with my fiancé Mathew. The American Revolution is fiercer than ever now because many people are getting ill and many people have died already those are two of the reasons why we have so much work and it is because we are trying to cure all the injured people. Right now the war is still going on in all thirteen colonies, but hopefully it ends soon because the economy is really bad because a lot of money is being used for the war. Well I haven't really talked to my parents lately and I hope there doing fine even though I am disappointed because they are not going to be able to attend our ceremony of marriage but we are hoping on going back to Pennsylvania one of these days just to visit  them, but not right now because its really dangerous to be traveling specially walking in the streets because of the war. Dear Journal,  1776

            I am Anne Starter I am twenty six years old and I am currently living in Maryland. I am the great great great great granddaughter of Margery Colburn and I am the daughter of Mary Starter. I am not currently married but I met the love of my life and his name Thomas Rager we are planning on getting married later on once the American Revolution calms down. As I just said there is the American Revolution going on since last year which was the year 1775. The revolution is very bad right now because there has been many deaths  occurring and many people are just tired of it. As well as having the revolution many acts have been passed that include taking so much of our independence away. The American Revolution was between the Kingdom of  Great Britain and thirteen British colonies on the North American continent. We are now currently in the year 1776 and I am planning on getting married with Thompson in a couple of months because of the fact that I am pregnant of a little girl and we want the little girl to have a loving family. I met Thompson in a clinic that I went to in order to get cured from my severe cold and apparently he had a cold to and we have been dating since so I have known him for like a little bit more than a year. I hope everything turns out with my marriage. Well bye bye journal.

December 23, 1675

My Journal:

              I am Bridget and well what could I say this is my first journal that I will be writing. I remember how my mother Margery Colburn used to love writing journals when she was about my age when she was still living now that she has passed away I have inherited her talent of writing and loving to right journals. As I am going to continue in her foot steps and write journals of my own. Since my mother left me and my brother Michael I still carry her memory because of everything she left us like her memories and thanks to her our life has been very great and I will always love her and respect her even though she is not with us.

        Well journal now that I have talked about the beginnings of my family I will talk a little bit about myself. My name is Bridget Colburn I am forty years old and I am happily living with my husband Peter and my son Thompson. I work as a doctor here in my country as always because I always wished to help my country with any illnesses they might get or any of that sort. I am very happy because of the special people on my life like my husband and I have been married for about thirteen years I met him a year after my mother died and I was very sad with the fact that my mother was not able to attend my ceremony of marriage. I now also have a son my son is now eleven years old and he is very healthy as I have always expected him to be and I hope this continues. As of now he is attending school and he works really hard to help me around the house with anything he can as well as keeping his good grades in school and I hope he never changes. That is about it for right now journal.

HAPPINESS ((:

February 1, 1662

Dear Journal,

         It has been two years since I wrote me last journal entry. Two years is a really long time and many things has happened in my life including many good things that I appreciate. My family is doing really well. My daughter Bridget is now attending school still and is working on being a great doctor because she would love to help many people that are ill. She also wants to work on being a doctor because she loves helping people and she knows there is not many doctors around us that are as profesional as they should be. My son Michael is happily married to his wife and they have been doing great these past two years and I love them both. My son still currently helps me working at my shoe shop and I appreciate it a lot specially right now that im currently really ill.

       I have been ill for quite some time now it has been about two weeks now since i have not been out of my bed because the doctore says that he does not recommend it. Even though my doctor told me not to I still try to help my son with anything I can. I personally dont think that I am going to be able to survive this illness and I hope that if I do pass away that my children live great without me. I know that I am going to leave them really wealth because of my secret working credits I have, but they dont know about. I know that if I do pass away I am going to leave them fine and that they will both take care of each other very well. I would love for them to know that I love them very much and I hope they do good in everything they do!!

Dear Journal,

It's now July 16, 1660 and it's a very important day for my family and I. I have been really good these couple of years Bridget is older now as well as Michael, he continues helping me and working at the shoe shop while Bridget goes to school in order to receive an education. Their is no depression anymore because the economy is better now and my investment has been really good so far. I am planning to give my investment to my daughter and son once they get married to that special someone. It has been about ten years since I wrote the last entry and it is because I have been very busy lately because there has been a lot of work lately.

I am very happy today because it's the wedding of my dearest son Michael Colburn. Michael is now 21 years old and is ready to get married to his fiance Elizabeth. The marriage is taking place today and I hope everything turns out the way we want it to turn out. Its been really hard for them to be able to get together because of Elizabeth parents. At first Elizabeth parents didn't want her to get married to my dearest Michael because they thought he wasn't the right husband for Elizabeth. Its been a long time now since they have been together and Elizabeth parents agree that Michael is the of family members and friends that are going to cherish this very special moment. My son Michael is very excited because he had been w right husband for her. Their marriage ceromony isn't going to be as big as we expected it to be it is only going to be a couple of people and we have been waiting for this moment for a really long time and now that it has come they are both really happy. I hope everything works out in the marriage and that they live really happily. Well that is it for today bye journal.
