March 23, 1700 [A Parting]

Today, I am very happy; for it is my youngest daughter, Arabella's wedding. I have awaited this day for twenty five long years. My beautiful daughter has the features of her grandmother, gorgeous deep blue eyes, soft rosy cheeks, soft hands, and the voice of an angel. She is being married to a young man named John Bacon. He was a sweet young man, from a nearby town, and his family owns large areas of land. He has been said to be very hardworking, caring, and a respectable young man, who gets along with everyone. He is very well known, and my husband and I believe he will prove to be a fine husband for our Arabella. The past few days my husband, I, and Arabella have been working hard to make sure everything goes right, and just as planned for today, for we, and the whole town have been looking forward to it. Arabella herself too, has been very excited. She saw this as a new beginning in life, and a chance to be adults, as her brothers and sisters have proven to be. She feels that he is perfect for her, for the same many similar personality traits, and so far, they have quite enjoyed the time they have spent together. I have never seen a couple so happy together; it's as if they were meant to be. Just the other day we went to his house, and by God it was so clean, neat, big, and gorgeous. The house was warm and welcoming, and the dwellers, were far kinder. I know I shall miss my beloved daughter, for I had loved her the most. But I knew this day would come, and I shall bid her farewell, with a smile on my face, for i know that she will be loved where she goes.
